I'd say when I do it my it's my forearm and elbow making the swerve. I haven't had a chance to tape myself to see what's really happening yet, but I'm sure it's not my wrist because when I tried to do it with just my wrist I was barely able to hit the cue-ball at all. I just kind of swerve the tip like I'm trying to "rub" the english on. I'll tell you it's a lot easier to do that it is to describe. My tip stays pretty level during the stroke - at least as level as it can for someone with a push stroke like me. I have no trouble hitting the CB high and getting the desired results, so there mustn't be too much of a dip - other than the shooter himself :) - involved.

Hello, I have been using burts method shown to me by a friend for over ten years at least. When I first started out it took me about 3 months to really feel comfortable about using it. I twisted my wrist when applying english to most shot with several exeptions that include kicking, and spinning the cue ball with extreme english for hard cut shots on the rail and several other shots. As the years pass I no longer twist my wrist but get the same effect which I feel is better. I have seen great players use this method though hard to catch (because most don't twist the wrist) even when you know what to look for. Its not for everyone and not all pro's use it. Though it seems like alot of philapino players do. My friend is the one who showed Neils Feign this at Starchers in akron, that was sold and now closed. Neils Feign is now coached by Burt K. himself. I think Burt has great ideas at times but falls short in explaining them properly. Love some of his ideas not all, but dislike his approach in explaining things. His method is very close to the pivot point though in his method one strikes the center of the cue ball first before applying any english.
