(draft) Was described as an ESB by the bartender. Instead a fairly decent brown ale, with the lack of flavor characteristic (to me at least) of Abita beers. Was good enough to drink, but not good enough to have another.

Ounces Consumed: 20(bottle) Nobody else has said it, so I will. This beer had a greenish tint to it. There, I've said it. Aside from the odd coloring, this was a pretty decent beer. The bar had it listed as a smoked beer, so I was a little disappointed to find an ESB instead, but it was quite decent. Actually reminded me more of a Alt than an ESB.
Ounces Consumed: 12(draft) Hazy amber with a decent head. Citrusy and hoppy aroma. Flavor of watery grapefruit juice. Decent, I suppose.
Ounces Consumed: 5(draft) Clear dark gold. Thin whitish head. Hoppy aroma. Tastes like aluminum. Disgusting.
Ounces Consumed: 1(draft) Clear amber with a nice tan head. Malty and spicy aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavor of spices and pumpkin. Quite good.
Ounces Consumed: 11(draft) A great beer for starting out an evening, yet interesting enough to make an entire session out of it. Smooth and malty. Tastes like it should have a higher ABV.
Ounces Consumed: 261Had an applely taste that I didn't find disgusting but I didn't like it enough to have a full pint. I'm surprised to see this classified as an ESB.
Ounces Consumed: 5For a beer with the word "bitter" in the name it wasn't bad at all. A lot darker and more complex than I expected.
Update 060805: I've had a couple new incarnations of this since my original entry. I've vowed that this will never touch my lips again. The bitterness I've experience with my last few attempts is just unbearable.
Ounces Consumed: 80(cask) I guess I was expecting something bitter. You know, because of the name of the beer. This wasn't bitter at all. The aroma was malty and a little flowery. My first impression of the flavor was that it was watery. That watery impression did fade by the time I finished the glass. This beer is very easy to drink. Not my favorite though.
Ounces Consumed: 10(bottle) Clear amber color. Minimal white head. Aroma of malts and rye and maybe cherries. Fizzy and watery mouthfeel. Flavor very weak and disappointing. Barely decent.
Ounces Consumed: 36(draft) One of my favorites from a style that is not a favorite. Not too bitter. A touch of citrus that wasn't too bad.
