New Holland Black Tulip Trippel Ale

(draft) Pale amber, fizzy, good head. All standard for Belgians of this type. Aroma seemed a tad stale to me. Flavor was average but subdued. The finish was very reminiscent of rubbing alcohol. Bitter and drying. I was disappointed with this beer, and I didn't drink very much of it.

Update 09 June 2011...

(bottle) Hazy Orange. A lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. No head. Citrusy Belgian aroma. Very nice light flavor, typical for the style. Maybe a touch more citrus than apple. Quite good.

So, two totally different experiences. Such is beer...
