I'm so damn impulsive.
This morning, after receiving what must have been the 100th SPAM from The Luxor in Las Vegas telling me about their great deals for August, I finally caved and booked myself a trip.
Yay!
So I'll fly there on August 20th and return on August 25th.
This trip is all personal. There is no conference to intrude into my busy drinking and gambling and sightseeing schedule.
It will rock!
Now I get to be excited about life for a while, so fuck off, world. You can't keep a good man down forever.

Hey, have fun in Vegas! I'm going there on Wednesday to watch the last five days of the IPT tournament. The flight was really expensive, because we booked it at the last minute...but we got a free room at the Flamingo. I can't wait to see the tournament...and hopefully I will meet some of the pros and see some great matches. I'm rooting for Efren in the finals!

I get to see Efren at the Derby City Classic every year. One year he told me, "Good shot." Probably the high point of my life, right there.

You should be proud of your good banking and general pool shooting abilities. It appears that you shoot a bit better than myself...and it would be great if I could actually enter one of the tournaments like you and actually get to play some of the greats...like Efren.
I'm hoping that while in Vegas, I will be able to at least bribe a couple pros for me to buy them a drink or something...just to be able to chat with them for a while... But, we'll see...

Some of the pros are more approachable than others. In general I think the older players are friendlier.
