I'm back to playing pool after 50 year layoff. I practice different shots all the time. I even printed out half dozen of the shots you posted as reminders. The jump shot is a shot I can not do no matter how much I try. I enjoy your site.
That jump shot is a tough one. I can make it maybe once out of 10 tries. The jump itself isn't the tough for me, but getting an accurate hit on the object ball seems to be mostly luck for me.
I ran into your blog after googling earl stricklands 9 ball record run years ago.i seen your first illustalltion about how they were cutting inthe object ball, sorry i had to roll my eyes as this is one of my favorite type of shots if you reall want to make this intersting try moving the cue ball two ball widths to the right and then still make the object ball yes it can be done i have done it.want to make it more intersting leave the object ball where it is at in your illustrallation and put the cue ball on the middlediamonddirectly behind where it is at.this shot is not for light hearted.finanly try moving the object ball to the diamond on the left and move the cue ball so it is just slightly left of the object ball the object ball can be cut into the right hand corner ,impossible you say no i have it on tape.
very nice shots. thinks should place some tutorialsfor insane like me there!!
